For this car rental, Caribbeantravelway works with the rental company CUBACAR.

Supplement for delivery to a different location: Between USD 20 and USD 130, depending on the distance between the pick-up and delivery locations.
Car Pickup
To pick up your car, the rental company requires the following documents:

Passport
Driver's license for all drivers, which must be valid for the entire rental period.
Car Categories
Reservations are always made by car category (Economy, Midsize, Midsize, Jeep Standard, Premium, and Van). Caribbean Travelway confirms the reservation for a category, not a specific car model.
Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 3 days during the low tourist season and 5 days during the high tourist season.
Cancellations and No-Show Policies
If the customer cancels their reservation less than 72 hours before the start of the service or fails to arrive within the first 24 hours of the agreed-upon date and time, a charge equivalent to one day's rental fee will be applied, based on the rate in effect at the time of booking, plus 10% of the total reservation amount.
No-Show: The penalty applied is 100% of the daily rental fee. A no-show is defined as three hours after the scheduled vehicle pick-up time. If the customer has not arrived at the agreed-upon sales office within three hours of the confirmed reservation time (except at airports, where the three-hour period begins upon arrival of the flight), it will be considered a delay, and the sales office may, at its discretion, declare a no-show.
The remaining cancellation policies correspond to the General Cancellation Policy for Car Rentals on Caribbeantravelway.
Drivers
Minimum driving age: 21 years, with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
The customer must present their passport and driver's license.
The vehicle may only be driven by the individuals listed on the rental agreement.
As of February 19, 2026, the option to reserve for a family member will be suspended. Therefore, the website should not be used to reserve for third parties. If the company detects that the customer picking up the car is not the same user who processed and paid for the reservation, the company reserves the right to refuse service and will apply a 10% discount on the total reservation cost plus the equivalent of one day's rental fee.
Fuel
The car may only be refueled with the fuel specified in the rental agreement.
Security Deposit
The following security deposit is required from the customer, depending on the rental car category.
Economy and Jeep Economy: $150 USD
Medium: $200 USD
All other categories: $250 USD
This deposit is paid along with the reservation payment, once the reservation is confirmed. If there are no additional charges, the full amount deposited will be refunded at the end of the rental period.
Insurance and Coverage for Accidents and Theft
In case of an accident, total or partial theft, the customer must notify the nearest agency to the location of the incident and file a police report, which will be used to determine the customer's liability.
Penalties
The customer is responsible for any violation of any or all clauses of the rental agreement and will be penalized accordingly.
Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned before or at the same time as the pick-up. After three hours, the customer will be charged for an additional day of rental without extension.
The customer must return the vehicle in the same condition as when it was received at the time of rental.
Claims
For any claims regarding service breaches, a copy of the Rental Agreement must be submitted as supporting documentation.
